Accessibility statement

1. Our commitment

We build sites for a living, so this one should not be an exception. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA across backendsolutionsllc.co, and to fix anything that falls short when we hear about it.

2. What we have done

Specifically, on this site:

• every page is reachable and operable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus ring and a skip-to-content link;
• the menu, accordions and work filter are real buttons with aria-expanded and aria-pressed state, not click handlers on a div;
• headings run in order, and each page has one h1;
• images carry alt text, and purely decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology;
• body and heading colours were chosen to clear AA contrast on their backgrounds;
• the layout reflows to a single column on a phone with no horizontal scrolling, and holds up at 200% zoom;
• the scrolling marquees pause on hover and stop entirely when your system is set to reduce motion.

3. Known limitations

We would rather list these than pretend they do not exist:

• the scrolling client and service marquees move automatically; they pause on hover and respect prefers-reduced-motion, but they have no explicit pause button;
• the illustrations are decorative placeholders and carry only short alt text, because they convey no information the surrounding copy does not;
• the site has been tested with keyboard navigation and automated checks, but not yet in a formal audit with screen-reader users. That audit is planned.

4. Tell us about a barrier

If you need information from this site in another format — large print, plain text, or read out to you over the phone — ask and we will provide it at no cost.

5. Accessibility in the work we sell

Client sites we build follow the same standard by default: semantic markup, keyboard operability, AA contrast and alt text on real content images. If you need a formal conformance audit, a VPAT, or a specific legal standard such as Section 508 or EN 301 549, say so in your brief and we will scope it explicitly rather than assume it.
